thinking

i have been trying to figure out how to start writing in my blog - i could not find the right place.

I have thought of starting blogging since i was reading a few of them and really enjoying them. I remember these individuals as young children and now they are married with their own children. I find them so interesting and a good way to get to know these now adults.

Today i had a conversation on MSN with an old friend of mine - we went o high school together and hung out allot. Val last her dad to cancer not long ago and so this was her first Christmas without her dad - i share what i went through - i shared how you develop new ways of celebrating that persons' life. Dad deceased in June 3 yrs ago. The first Christmas i purchased Christmas ball decoration where you can place a picture in the "frame" and also have the option of recording a small message. Kyle (my grand nephew) records daily a small message - that was his way of dealing with dad not being with us. Val shared with me how they placed one of her dads old t shirts on a chair at the table - i laughed as i remember her dad as a joker and a kind man that loved to use his humor. I shared that we create new traditions when people we love are no longer on hearth with us.

We never know how a person impacts our lives until they are away physically from us or deceased.

I am a very fortunate person - i have had special people in my life and still do. I beleive God places individuals in our path for a reason. It is up to us to decode the why?

Well i need to pick up Matt at work and will sign off for now.
